Class Monitors

Be a class monitor and enjoy the satisfaction of serving as your instructor’s right–hand person. Enjoy a reduction in the cost of your class! If there are ten or more paid students, not including the monitor, the monitor receives 50% off the class fee. If there are five to nine paid students, not including the monitor, the monitor receives 25% off the class fee (lab and/or material fees not included.) Discounts may vary for certain media. Duties and responsibilities of the class monitor focus on recruiting other students for the class, keeping attendance, hospitality, setting up tables and chairs, wiping off tables and assisting the instructor in general. Take part in a unique educational opportunity and be a monitor!

Open Studio Monitors

Want a great way to provide a positive experience to students and get in some free studio time? The Indianapolis Art Center is currently looking for experienced students who are interested in becoming Open Studio Monitors. Monitors are needed for basic guidance, clean up, taking attendance and overall safety supervision. As a monitor, you will be given the opportunity to work in the studio free of charge during the time you are monitoring. The only qualifications you will need are a current membership to the Indianapolis Art Center and you must have some previous experience.
